Nurturing The Nurturers – Guest: Carmel McConnell, MBA

Guest: Carmel McConnell, MBA Social Activist and Author: “The Happiness Plan: 7 Simple Steps to Make the Life You Have the One you Want” (Pearson Education 2009) Founder “The Magic Breakfast Foundation” carmel@magicbreakfast.com

Join two Irish girls from either side of “pond” as author and social activist from London, Carmel McConnell, joins Teena for a fun and informative show about how we can apply some of the understandings from the research into happiness to our own lives. Hear these two women devise a plan to change the world! (It has to start somewhere…why not here?)

Carmel took her education and business experience and applied it to a problem in the London Schools….hunger. Carmel knows that no one can be “at their best” when hungry. Today her foundation, “The Magic Breakfast,” feeds 2000 kids daily.

Knowing that we all do best when we contribute, Carmel now has top corporate leaders coming into the schools and sharing positive messages with the children and teachers…..as well as corporate sponsorships for the program. Her goal is to get “The Magic Breakfast” going in other countries and make sure that no child goes to school hungry…anywhere!

Oh by the way…she was entrepreneur of the year in London last year!!!

Come listen to this great social activist and inspiring woman with a purpose! This show is great fun.
