The Arts are considered to be expendable during budget issues – I know that I may not buy a piece of art if my wallet is tight but that does not mean they art is any less valuable. The arts allow people (especially young developing minds) to express themselves at the emotional level, tapping into the creative an innate nature of human kind. Yet, despite the knowledge of the need and evidence of increased test scores by those that are involved in some sort of artistic expression, legislation budget cuts have hit art hard.
