One of the key elements in the education of our kids is the influence which the society at large has on them–what they see on TV, what they read in magazines, their heroes in the sports and entertainment industries. Today, it seems that our athletic and media role models can be in the news as much for scandal as for accomplishment and that their influence on our children is apt to be as negative as it once was positive. In this program, Dr. Steven Porter discusses the issue with Tom Mitchell, Vice-president of Operations for the Binghamton Senators Hockey Club, the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators.
