Addicted to Addicts: Survival 101 – Not Always What It Seems

Clueless is always the word that

comes to mind when I think of how I was when it came to what was going on with my son and his drug addiction. I look back and wonder if things would be different if I had some idea of what to look for and if I knew some of the things that he knew. So, this week we are going to learn about many of the signs, sounds, expressions, etc that are part of the “world” of our addicted loved ones. Perhaps being more aware can help us to make better decisions.

Today’s guest is Nick Athas. He and his wife Kelli are the founders of Intercept Interventions. They work daily with families & friends of addicts and alcoholics in thier battle against the disease of addiction. They are just finishing their first book “Enough is Enough”. Both Kelli and Nick are recovering addicts. Nick’s oldest son is also an addict in recovery.
