Addicted to Addicts: Survival 101 – CAN WE SAVE THESE KIDS?

Prescription Drug Abuse is becoming an epidemic here in the US. It is the new face of addiction. All ages and genders participate. You just never know who or where. This week we will begin our discussion of this “epidemic” with the rampant drug overdoses of young people ages 15-30, especially on college campuses.
Our guest today is April Rovero, whose youngest son, Joey, died from a lethal combination of alcohol and misused prescription medication. He died on December 18, 2009 while attending Arizona State University. April is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of  The National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse (NCAPDA), an organization that was established to generate nationwide awareness about the dangers of prescription drug misuse and abuse. Please visit their facebook page for more information and interaction.
