Our guest is Diane Miller, National Coordinator of the Network to Freedom, the National Parks Service’s Underground Railroad division. She talks about the origin and evolution of the Network to Freedom and how the Network to Freedom selects sites to designate as part of its Network to Freedom. The conversation moves into a discussion of the study of the Underground Railroad, of how vast and incredible a story it reveals, and why it is important for us today. She also tells us about the annual conference of the Network to Freedom on June 20-24 in St. Augustine, Florida, its highlights, and how people can register.
