It’s month end…time to pay bills and you ask yourself, “Where does all our money go? I work hard, I make good money, but there is always more month than money?”
In today’s reeling economy, more and more consumers are struggling to get control of their finances.
Most people don’t realize it, but it all begins with a belief system deeply rooted within each of us that shapes our views and feelings about money. We are taught as children that it’s not polite to talk about money, that anything good in life takes hard work, you only get what you deserve, and we’re almost always left with a negative image of money. We find ourselves making decisions based on fear! Fear of poverty, lack, and scarcity, evolve into feelings of anger, inadequacy, and low self esteem. But…is it really our fault? How many of us have really been taught how to budget, maintain our credit, and to save? Money has always been kind of a “dirty” word in our society and that can be a double-edged sword. If you don’t have money…your labeled a failure. If you do have money…well, you can’t be honest!
It’s confusing at best, so how do you know when you need some help?
