Good Mourning: The Many Faces of Grief – DIVORCED? WIDOWED? YES…SHE HAS BEEN BOTH AND SURVIVED

Today we’re going to talk to a woman who has walked down the aisle towards happiness 3 times, yet each trip ended in sadness and loss. She, however, did not give up and kept searching for the “love of her life”. Eventually she found it, only to see it slip through her heartstrings one more time. In a world that seemed destined to be riddled with loss, how did she find hope?

Join me as we meet Mara Barthel, a Gold Star military widow, an activist in grief support services, a volunteer extraordinaire and someone who has found a way to move from survive to thrive. We’re going to explore the differences between the grief of being divorced and of being widowed as well as share some coping tips for coping with grief.

Thanks for our friend, Paul Alexander, for his song, Who Am I Now? which is available on his website, www.griefsong.com.
