What’s there to be thankful for? When we are lost in the wilderness of grief, it is hard to imagine that there could be anything worth being grateful for. When we are busy tending our “Lost List”, it is nearly impossible to consider keeping a gratitude journal. Yet, this simple challenge and task can change the course of your grief journey.
My guest today is David Brooke, known as that “That Gratitude Guy.” He is the author of The Brooker’s Daily Gratitude Journal, Happiness Starts With Gratitude, and Gratitude Nuggets to Chew On. Having suffered multiple personal losses and family tragedies, David has found the tools and techniques to bounce back from any of life’s setbacks. He specializes in teaching people the benefits of living a life of gratitude, and specifically the advantages of using a daily gratitude journal.
Come with me as we attempt to move from grief to gratitude. It won’t make the trip any shorter, but it could ease some of the panic and the pain. It might give you some reasons for getting up every morning and it might even bring back a good memory or two. It’s worth a try! You can order David’s Gratitude Journal on his website or the Grief Inc. website.
