Aila Accad, RN, MSN, “Your Stress-Busters Expert” is an award-winning international speaker, bestselling author and certified well-being coach who specializes in quick ways to release stress and reclaim that energy to live your highest purpose. Her bestselling books include “The Call of the Soul: A path to knowing your true self and your life’s purpose” and “34 Instant Stress-Busters, Quick tips to de-stress fast with no extra time or money.”

As a nurse who learned that stress contributes to 85% of illnesses, Aila decided to become an expert in stress reduction. She believes the biggest cause of all stress is feeling like we are out of control. One of the most effective techniques she uses to help others reduce stress is Emotional Freedom Technique, (EFT)which enables people to release various issues.

In her book, The Call of the Soul, Aila discusses the importance of discovering our calling and purpose. She explains how the soul knows the direction we are going, whereas our head knows the past. We often have an inner knowing of what we want but our mind often tries to convince us we can’t do something. Often serendipity and synchronicity occurs to help guide us toward our purpose in life. Aila describes innate and personal aspects of our soul. Personal aspects often are affected by things that happened when we are children, and those events become part of our ego.

The ego was formed out of the soul’s experience. The ego’s intention is to protect us physically, emotionally and psychologically, so it is based in fear. When our soul is called towards something new, the ego and mind try to convince us why it won’t work. Our egos and souls work hand in hand, then there is an observer who is part of our consciousness who is like a “curious lab assistant’ who can interpret what is going on.
