In this episode of the Breakout with Newt Gingrich podcast, Newt turns the podcast over
to his wife, Callista. Callista gave a remarkable speech on June 4 to the Capital Speakers
Club of Washington, D.C. in which she discussed the importance of American exceptionalism.
Callista offered unique insight into how America became the remarkable country it is today,
and why it is imperative that all Americans, especially young Americans, understand why they
should be proud of their country. Callista has also written three children’s books for four to eight
year olds in which she describes the importance of American exceptionalism through her time
traveling character, Ellis the Elephant. Ellis helps to educate children about the importance of
American values and what makes our country a special place.
