Have you ever wondered what it would be like for someone to experience the Corporate World for 9 years of their life and then to move on to becoming a very successful Entrepreneur for a further 9 years, only to find there was ‘something missing’! Well, let me introduce you to someone, who arrived at this place, and realised that “Life is not a Dress Rehearsal and you only get one change”, and decided to take the biggest risk of her life to follow her purpose and her dream and changed Career for the third time and is now living and working with her passion for 14 years. Welcome… Mary Curran, Personal & Executive Coach, Trainer and Supervisor.

Mary Curran is one of Ireland’s most experienced coaches and coach mentors. She has worked full-time in the coaching profession since she qualified with the Life and Business Coaching Association of Ireland and Coach Ville, Nevada, USA in 2001. She also has an Advanced Diploma in Supervision from PCI and the University of Middlesex, enabling her to supervise other coaches.

Mary specializes in executive transition and career management which includes high potential career development, stepping into new roles, mid-life career change, breaking the glass ceiling, retirement planning and customer service training.

Twin passions drive Mary Curran’s professional life:

(a) Helping people move from great to brilliant, from powerlessness to powerfulness, whatever their background complemented by a jargon-free, down to earth approach.

(b) The profession of coaching. As the founder of the Coach Centre in Dublin and co-founder of the Life and Business Coaching Association of Ireland, Mary has mentored and trained many of Ireland’s best coaches and made a positive impact on the careers and businesses of over thousands of individuals through her own coaching.

She is also on the panel of National Register of Trainers (NRT) for FAS and FETAC registered provider.

She has worked with clients across different sectors, including SMEs, industry bodies and professional consulting and financial services firms including the Law Society of Ireland, AIB Bank, Ulster Bank, Institute of Engineers, Laois Chamber of Commerce, and Accenture where her coaching was instrumental in preparing senior managers to become partners.

In 2012, Mary has broadened her horizon and has worked with Charity Organisations, again meeting her Clients where they are and empowering them to move from great to brilliant.

Mary is also on the faculty for VHI Corporate Solutions, where she provides facilitation on work-life balance, positive mental attitude, stress management and retirement planning to a wide range of corporations in the Dublin area including Bridgestone Ireland, Oracle and EBS Building Society. She also contributes regularly to media features on personal excellence and coaching, including appearances in Stellar magazine, Relationship Coach in Easy Health Magazine, and on TV3 AM.

Prior to becoming a coach, Mary worked in Public Relations and Marketing in the ESB and then set up her own business, Pavlova Pantry, an Australian-style restaurant which she ran successfully for nine years, winning the ESB Innovative Business Ideas Competition in 1988. While in the restaurant business, Mary went on to win “Best customer service and Best cup of coffee’ in Dublin City and County with Bewleys.

Following the opening of the Centre for Professional & Personal Development, Mary then recognised the need for a Centre for Coaching and hence in 2002 opened the Coach Centre Ltd.

Mary was part of the team of the ICDN (Irish Coaching Development Network) working on the Competencies of Coaching. Mary is a founder member of the Life & Business Coaching Association of Ireland and of the Association for Coaching in Ireland.
