Biography
Protecting Your Health with Dr. Donald Robbins and Dr. Kathleen Boyle
Dr. Robbins, a dentist for over 30 years, is the author of The Toxic Dental Office –How to Protect yourself and Your Family. He has also has developed the BioSafeDentistry system of practice to help protect patients, dentists and staff from potentially dangerous chemicals and materials in the dental office. For over seven years, he has conducted research in his office, measuring the toxic mercury vapor exposure from dental “silver” amalgam fillings.
He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, fellow of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, former diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management and former fellow of the International College of CranioMandibular Orthopedics. He is developer and founder of both the 4 Learning Group, LLC, an educational vehicle for healthcare professionals, and the Pennsylvania state licensed Dental Training Center.
Dr. Robbins lectures to dentists, health professionals and lay groups and writes the dental page for the website of the national autism organization ARI and DANS (www.autism.com).
Dr. Boyle holds a doctorate in biochemistry and biochemical nutrition.
She has worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a research scientist developing new drugs to treat diseases of the heart and lungs and the immune system and as a medical writer reporting the results of clinical research to the Food and Drug Administration and to healthcare professionals.
Dr. Boyle won a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and worked with the top physicians in the United States to establish an educational program for primary healthcare professionals to alert them to recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of blood cancers.
This led her to focus her energy translating scientific concepts and breakthroughs, striving to make healthcare professionals and patients aware of the direct impact decisions have on immediate and long term health, whether that be the choice of pain killer for a headache, medication for high cholesterol, or changes in diet which could help reduce both of these conditions.
