Think Beyond Pink with Linda Bamber
Linda Bamber , N.D. is a teacher, writer, speaker, nutritionist and clinical thermographer.
Linda founded BRAS in 2008. BRAS, Breast Research Awareness & Support is busting out all over. New franchises in Blue Springs, MO, Overland Park, KS and Raleigh, NC feature thermography, a digital infrared thermal imaging service for breast health analysis, and an education system to teach women cost-effective, drug free ways to protect their breast health.
This unique franchise, based in Overland Park was developed by Linda Bamber after both her mother and sister were diagnosed with breast cancer just six months apart from each other. “I did not rush to get a genetic test.” Instead she turned to the internet to research breast health and prevention techniques and started compiling information. She also expanded her nutrition business to teach women new ideas she had learned about protecting breast health. When she added thermography, a safe, zero touch, radiation free way to track their breast health her concept quickly changed from a local business into a franchise system.
According to Dr. Christian Northrup, author of Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom, thermography is the best breast test. “Many doctors believe that a mammogram is the best test for detecting breast cancer early. But, it’s not. Studies show that a thermogram identifies precancerous or cancerous cells earlier, produces unambiguous results (which cuts down on additional testing), and doesn’t hurt the body. Isn’t that what women really want.”
Bamber says that when the mammogram guidelines changed last fall women were not made aware of some safer ideas for screening for breast health concerns. BRAS franchises provide thermograms that can signal warnings years before a mammogram according to numerous studies. Then, “we provide prevention education. Prevention is really the new cure.”
BRAS thermography provides the real picture for early intervention while education, individually or in workshops, provides prevention techniques that are low-cost, effective, natural and drug-free. All information stresses a balanced program of self-examination, clinical examination, thermography and mammography as needed.
Linda’s years of research and experience has been compiled into an 18 chapter book to guide her franchisees. Linda also has an 8-10 hour workshop series which has been divided into smaller monthly newsletters and teaching units that women can apply quickly to their lifestyle. Most of these are ideas that you will never hear from the medical community…they are prevention techniques. Breast health products that she has been developing for several years are also available with her catchy BRAS logo. Linda is currently working on other ideas to keep women abreast of true prevention techniques through her BRAS franchises.
