Meet us at Radio Beastro, where we raise a toast to unconditional love and companionship—on demand. The Beastro digs deep into the joys, challenges and discoveries experienced by pet families every day. The show will celebrate and explore this unique and popular lifestyle currently experienced in 72.9 million U.S. homes. Our focus will be how pets impact our everyday lives—what can we do to make it better, simpler, less expensive and more rewarding. Many pet radio programs are doing a great job offering health, training and behavior advice, so our show is a different breed. We will speak to the nuances a pet brings to our life and we will promote pet adoption as the best way to find, a pet and save a life.
Michael Massie of Young Again Pet Food joins the Beastro to educate us on “no-spin pet nutrition”, and we speak to Gamma2 about air-tight pet food containers to keep kibble fresh! Radio Beastro with Kristen Levine
“Pets keep us linked to the most basic human needs—love, touch and laughter. We can’t text, email or instant message our pets–we relate to them face-to-face, paw-to-foot. As humans, I think we’ve forgotten how much we need that tangible connection.”
Like many of us, Kristen Levine developed an emotional connection with animals at an early age. Even as a child, she recognized the importance of making lifelong commitments to companion animals—she sensed our value to one another. Using the human-animal bond as her inspiration along with dogged determination, Kristen turned her life passion into a journey of professional success.
Her drive to do something worthwhile led her to volunteer at an animal shelter. Her feel good hobby quickly led to a fifteen-year career as the Public Relations Director of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Tampa Bay, where she played a critical role in promoting pet adoption and pet lifestyle education. During those years, she worked hand-in-hand with veterinarians, trainers, pet retailers, and most importantly—pet parents.
Kristen’s knowledge of pet industry and lifestyle concerns coupled with her marketing background led her to found Fetching Communications in 2003. Her goal? To develop the nation’s first marketing agency wholly dedicated to today’s steadily growing pet marketplace. Today, Fetching Communications represents pet and veterinary businesses all over the globe.
Kristen is a popular columnist for several print and online pet columns including Petside.com, The Tampa Tribune, The New Barker magazine, Pet Business and more. She appears regularly on the nationally syndicated Daytime morning program and has logged over 1000 live television and radio interviews, including appearances on Good Morning America, Fox News Channel, USA Today, FoxNews.com, ABC News Radio, EFE America, AOL Latino and regular spots on WTVT, Fox 13.
In addition to her role as a media spokesperson, Kristen is Bissell’s official pet spokesperson. She educates the Bissell pet community about pet clean up solutions at www.Bissell.com, and she and this 130 year-old company are partners in promoting pet adoption across the U.S. She is also a member of the pet-elite team at Toyota, working with the automaker to educate pet parents about the importance of restraining pets while traveling in vehicles. Kristen and her dog Chilly travel the U.S. in their Toyota Sequoia to spread the word.
From 2000-2002, Kristen was a cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, one of the NFL’s most elite squads. She was one of 12 squad members chosen to travel to the Middle East to entertain U.S. soldiers after 9-11.
She holds a U.S. Patent for the Hot Reel, a retractable farm-fencing device that protects animals from harm while they pass through electric fencing systems.
Kristen and her husband Paul celebrate 25 years of marriage in 2011. They share their Florida home with a dog, cat and two miniature donkeys.
