Stress Recovery with Ellie Wolf
Ellie Wolf, MS, BCB is a national board certified Biofeedback practitioner, recently elected as Associate Fellow by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. With over 30 years’ experience in allied health care- including a lengthy career as board-certified in sports medicine/athletic training, and as a National Certification Board Examiner, she focused for many years in orthopedic and sports physical therapy and kinesiotherapy clinical treatment and management.
Ellie now serves as an instructor for the Biofeedback national certification course, and as internship supervisor for Biofeedback certification candidates. Ellie’s experience in applied biofeedback is vast and varied — including the early use of pelvic floor monitoring and strengthening, EMG training with professional and collegiate athletes, and extensively for headaches, chronic pain disorder, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, anxiety/panic attacks and PTSD, a gamut of gastro-intestinal disorders, fibromyalgia, and numerous other medical conditions known to improve with the use of Biofeedback.
Many conditions of compromised health are linked in some way to inordinate stress. While often not obvious to the person initially, their level of stress response to their life situations is a prime component of what drives the condition of their physical and emotional health. When stress is too high and/or lasts too long…when we fail to recover from what stresses us; one of the usual results is a detrimental effect on health.
Stress affects most people at their weakest link, so each of us will show
widely varied symptoms of stress that are often unlike the symptoms of others, but screaming for relief just the same.
