Are you a SkillPreneur®? If you’ve taken your expert skill, trade, or craft and combined it with your entrepreneurial spirit to start a business, then you can call yourself a SkillPreneur®!
The SkillPreneur® Show is for small business owners who want to learn how to operate their business more effectively, efficiently, and profitability. We talk about how to make business work, how to achieve a better work-life balance, and (of course) how to make more money.
The SkillPreneur Show with Ed Abel
Ed Abel
Ed Abel has invested more than three decades learning how to build a successful, thriving business. At age 24 with a $5,000 loan and the energy and passion of a young entrepreneur, Ed was ready to take on the world. And he did — emerging seven years later at the top of a $36 million organization with 585 employees. Inspired by the challenges that led him to success, Ed went on to build multi-million dollar businesses.
Yet he missed the passion he had experienced “in the trenches” of his formative years. Determined to find a way to educate and advise others in the construction and sustainability of a vital business, he founded ABEL Business Institute and, with it, “The SkillPreneur Business System”, a systematic approach to the construction, maintenance, and growth of a business.
Ed is an adjunct professor of entrepreneurial studies at New York University as well as the Director of the business division at the world class Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC).
Ed lives in New York City, where he is an avid participant in Volleyball leagues and a student in boxing. He also has a huge collection of Napoleon Hill’s original writings.
Michael Robinson
Michael Robinson is the Operations Manager (AKA the “Operations Guy”) at ABEL Business Institute. Formerly a client of Ed’s, Michael considers himself a SkillPreneur® (he owns a high-end photography company in New York City catering to corporate clients).
Michael truly understands the challenges SkillPreneurs face in growing their businesses, and works to make sure that the tools, resources, trainings and classes offered by ABEL Business Institute meet the needs of the clients.
Michael lives in Brooklyn where he loves spending time with his wife and son and their two cats. He is a student of the Japanese martial art Aikido, enjoys skiing, bike riding, and eating great sushi.
