Biography
Home Sweet Homework with Sharon Marshall Lockett
Sharon Marshall Lockett Sharon is the founder and director of Lockett Learning Systems/SCORE, validated by the United States Department of Education for effectiveness in improving the high school graduation and college-going rates of high-risk students. She has trained thousands of educators and students to implement educational reform.
As director of SCORE, Sharon works with educators and parents nationwide to ensure that every student succeeds. Under her direction, SCORE has received numerous honors and awards including validation by the California Department of Education and the United States Department of Education, recognition by the President’s Forum on Teaching as a Profession, and receiving the Parade of Excellence Award by the National Council of States.
Besides her books, Home Sweet Homework: A Parent’s Guide to Stress-Free Homework and Studying Strategies that Work, and Take My Hand: Guiding Your Child Through Grief, Sharon is also the author of 20 books and 2 DVD’s teaching excellence, and grief recovery. Sharon earned her Master of Science in Educational Administration and holds California Life Secondary and Administrative credentials.
She has appeared on numerous radio and television talk shows including Prime Time America, The American Perspective and Voice of America. Her books have been featured in Our Children Magazine, Island Family, and the New York Daily News among others.
Sharon is a firm believer in “paying it forward.” She is the volunteer leader of the Divorce and Grief Recovery program at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. In this role, she develops the curriculum, trains the support staff, coaches the speakers, and leads the seminars.
Sharon is a CLASS Speaker, adjunct professor of education at Vanguard University, listed in Who’s Who in American Education, and a favorite speaker and workshop leader. She earned her Master of Science in Educational Administration from California State University, Fullerton and holds California Life Secondary and Administrative credentials.
She resides in Laguna Niguel, California with her husband Milton.
