Parenting is life changing for all of us. But for my two guests on this week’s show, parenting actually brought them a new career as well as a new baby. Dr. Rosina McAlpine is an award winning education professor at the University of Sydney. After the birth of her son, she applied her research prowess to reading and distilling the latest studies on a vast array of parenting related subjects from psychology to neuroscience to biology. She went on to interview leading experts from around the world. Her work culminated in the writing of a book entitled Inspired Children: how the leading minds of today raise their children and the creation of her own Inspired Children Parenting Course. Renee Wasserman holds a Masters in Public Health and was working as a physical therapist before becoming a parent to three girls. While raising her daughters, she discovered a passion for understanding and addressing children’s sleep issues. She became a certified infant and child sleep consultant and founded SleepyHead Solutions to help empower other parents to teach their children to become healthy sleepers. Listen in to learn what drove these two moms to add a new career to their already busy life and gain the benefit of their hard earned expertise. These are two high octane moms you won’t want to miss! After you have taken a listen, head on over to the Parenting With Playdate Planet Blog and share the unexpected ways that parenting has changed your life.
