Inside Cosmetic Surgery Today – Skin Care Devices & Cosmeceuticals Reviewed by Dr Lycka & Dr Schlessinger
Skin care devices to use at home are becoming more available, but do they really work? There are laser hair removal devices, other light-based hair removal devices and also other light based devices to treat acne and improve skin and wrinkles. Another range of products that are growing in range and popularity are those known as Cosmeceuticals. These are typically cosmetic products for the skin which also contain some beneficial pharmaceutical drugs to provide a more effective result. To explain more about these new and innovative products, Edmonton Cosmetic Dermatologist Dr Barry Lycka talks with Dr Joel Schlessinger, board certified dermatologist & cosmetic surgeon and founder of the LovelySkin website. The two doctors discuss the latest products and trends, particularly helpful if you can’t source the products you want locally, or can’t visit a local dermatologist office.
