We all have our unique way of creating or communicating; talking, writing, gesturing, praying – all that. Other ways of creating or communicating is via the entertainment industry, acting, singing and the playing of musical instruments, and within the last 3 1/2 decades or so, Rap. Arguably, a form of poetry and music or as I often refer to it as “Pomuse” where in its greatest form it is effective poetry and musing combined, containing colorful language, relatable stories while simultaneously stirring up the rhythm in us, while simultaneously getting the point across. Some of the truly “Great Ones” include “Tupac”, “Eminem”, “Public Enemy” & “Kool Moe Dee” to name a few. In the last few decades this flowetry has spilled over into the gospel realm. Interesting, because it has been said “when one sings, they are actually calling out and prying to the Lord twice”. Rappers are now doing the same thing; Pomusing for blessings, showing the ultimate respect for the supreme being, Devine Creator of the universe! it’s truly an art form; today we talk to renown Christian Rapper, Karim.
