In a little town just to the west of Chicago, Bensenville Il, has brought down crime and gang violence by a staggering 80% in a little less than 3 years. Joel Vargas among many of his hats is also the Crime Prevention Officer for this little town that used to be known as the most dangerous down in it county. Using a unique program of Intellingece based, trained crime watch groups, they have succedded in reducing crime to the point most gang members just avoid the town alltogether. Can we use this program or parts of it to reduce crime in the Chicago gang areas? Officer Vargas will join us to talk about how that may work.
These are links he provided, I am not sure I have placed them in the right place, but are not needed, unless they add to the overall production.
