The coming of a New Year gives us the opportunity, every year, to look at how we want to grow as well as what we want to accomplish. Each year I do a two-step with my intentions and goals. In order to make them happen, I have to face some kind of fear. In order to make them happen, I need to be reminded to practice one essential Habit… year after year.
I call this my New Years Two-Step.
In the second half of my show, I discuss step number two in this New Year’s Dance. I talk with Dr. Noelle Nelson, a relationship expert and the author of 12 books. One of those books is the Power of Appreciation that will give you insight into this One Particular Habit (step #2) that’s a “must” for your New Year’s List.
On the first half of the show, I talk with Jodi Anthony. Jodi is an artist who creates paintings that build on her strong sense of the Divine Feminine as well as her interest in the healing power of the creative process.
Jodi combines her training as a life coach and artist to teach other women an empowering process in workshops and one-on-one sessions. We talk about the “New Year’s Resolution Killer” that affects us all when we resolve to do something that requires us to come out of our shell.
When we take on the challenge of becoming more self-expressed, as we do with our resolutions at this time of year, we naturally enter new territory that is scary. Being in this new and uncomfortable place is bound to bring about fear that often stops us dead in our tracks.
Today’s show will help you identify your fears and give you a powerful practice that will move you past the obstacles thrown up by your inner critic into a fuller and more self-expressed 2014.
