Porter Carroll Jr  is a true American R&B legend. After co-forming the popular group Atlantic Starr back to the 1970s and helping to guide them through a successful, hit-laden career in the 1980s, Carroll would go on to perform with Shania Twain, Michael Bolton and many others. Today, he is a percussionist/vocalist in the Daryl Hall/John Oates band, and can also be seen regularly in the hit TV series, Live From Daryl’s House. Carroll has also recently launched a nightclub act with Wali Ali and the Tambourine Band which he describes (along with many other stories) on the show with Chris today.
