Kim Hodous Talks About Beyond Grief: How a Son’s Afterlife Connection Transformed a Mother’s Loss into a Remarkable Spiritual Journey.

Roberta Grimes

Kim Hodous is a mother who tragically suffered the loss of two of her children, one in early childhood, and the other when he was a young adult, and although his addiction to drugs had been beaten, someone nevertheless had gotten Kim’s son, Rob, to take some fentanyl, and it killed him. The result is an amazing story, and Kim tells it well. This is Kim’s second visit with us to tell her story, and to talk about the great spiritual lessons she learned from her experience; about how, for example, Rob asked her to forgive his killer because the killer had volunteered to play this role in Rob’s life-planning, as a gift to him, although it is costing him years in prison. Then, she proves to us clearly that death is notseparation, but instead it is transformation, and love is the eternal thread that binds us across all dimensions of existence. Kim’s beautiful book is called Beyond Grief: How a Son’s Afterlife Connection Transformed a Mother’s Loss into a Remarkable Spiritual Journey. In her book, she shares the beautiful continuation of her relationship with her son, Rob, beyond the veil. Her work reveals yet again the glorious fact that death is not an ending at all, but rather she calls it more like a sacred initiation into deeper spiritual truths. Her story is beautiful!
