The more I write and speak on self-esteem and self-worth, the more I hear from parents, “How do I help my child develop healthy self-esteem?” As a mom, that’s one of my main questions, too: “How can I ensure my daughters (and sons) grow into confident, self-loving adults?” Today, I’m talking with Tenielle Shenae, self-esteem advocate, speaker and founder of True Reflections workshops for girls K-12. Tenielle speaks to girls each day on building self-esteem and self-worth, and she’s sharing some of her best strategies with us. Trust me, this is good stuff! I’m also talking with my 12 year-old daughter Kennedy and 14 year-old niece, Presley, to get their thoughts on the challenges they, and others their age, face when it comes to self-esteem, social media, comparing, self-criticism, and self-confidence. Whether you have daughters or are a mom of only sons, don’t miss this important episode as we share how we, as moms, are the models and teachers for our children’s sense of self-worth!
And, in my Dr. Christi’s Simple Solutions segment, I’m talking to Scott Walker, co-founder of TeenSafe, an incredible program that allows you to monitor your child’s texts—even after they’ve been deleted. Prevent bullying and unhealthy situations with TeenSafe by trying it out for FREE. Listen in for details!
