Biography
30 Minute Mom with Karen Quinn
Karen Quinn began writing at the age of 45, after being downsized from her corporate job. She then starting a business helping Manhattan families get their children into the most in-demand private and public nursery schools and kindergartens. Her first book, “The Ivy Chronicles”, is a humorous novel based on that experience. She has since gone on to write “Wife in the Fast Lane”, “Holly Would Dream”, and “The Sister Diaries,” two of which have been optioned as movies.
Karen’s fifth book, “Testing for Kindergarten”, guides parents on working with their children at home, building the 7 types of intelligences kids need to do well on IQ tests and in school. At her website, www.TestingMom.com, she helps parents get their children into the country’s best public gifted programs, private schools, and public charter and magnet programs.
