Today, we’re going to be talking about a difficult subject…one that even as adults, we aren’t comfortable talking about…death.
As hard as it is for adults to face death or engage in conversations about it, it may be even harder when we have to talk to children and support them as they grieve.
So I’ve invited my guest Dr. Alison Dunton, to join our conversation so that we can begin to take a look at how children grieve…and what we can do to support them through this process.
Dr. Dunton is a licensed psychologist. She specializes in the treatment of a wide range of emotional and behavioral disorders including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders with a specific interest in the area of child and adolescent grief and loss. Additionally, Dr. Dunton co-leads training workshops for other professionals on topics related to working with grieving children through The Jeffreys Institute for the study of Loss and Bereavement in Columbia, MD.
I hope you’ll join us for this important conversation…
