Ralph Benko was a member of the original Supply Side team that brought the top tax rate down from 70% to 28% and put in the policies that took the Dow up from 1,000 (no typo) to 12,000. He also was a junior official in the Reagan White House in non-economic policy areas.

He writes a weekly column for Forbes.com and for Townhall.com and his commentary often appears on five continents. He advises on national economic policy, especially monetary policy.
