Traditionally, summer in America means fun in the sun, trips to the beach…and wildfires. My guests this week know a little something about wildfires; Bessie Schwartz of Environment Colorado and Dr. Kevin Trenberth, a Distinguished Senior Scientist and Nobel Peace Prize Winner at the National Center for Atmospheric Research – are both on the ground in Colorado near where the wildfires are burning again this year. They will each, in their own unique ways, help us attach an American face to climate change so we can stop telling ourselves its someone else’s problem. We’ll also discuss the cheap, easy ways we can get engaged in the fight to reverse climate change…also known as going green.
