Whether you are a golfer or not, the 2012 Ryder Cup at Medinah CC, Chicago, Illinois served up an abundance of life, sport and golf lessons. Guest Jim Etter, 38 year golf professional, takes you tee to green with many from the treasure of Ryder Cup gifts. Expect to hear what makes this event so special: the complexity and dynamics of playing for one’s country, the 28 match event structure (8-foursome, 8 four-ball and 12 singles), home-team/visiting team atmosphere, course set-up, establishing high performance team cohesion, blending personality types and the role of the Captain-Leader. Jim Etter, a friend of mine for 50+ years and I watches many Ryder Cup matches and talk shows leading up to the September 28-30 event. Thus, our first hand observations are fresh and candid.
