Katie Saint has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. In addition to being a therapist, she is the author of When Grandparents Divorce, a children’s book that helps parents communicate with their children about the divorce of their grandparents. Currently, the divorce rate of people over 50 has doubled over the past few years. When grandparents divorce, there can be anxiety and fear that manifests in certain behaviors, including developmental regressions when young children are stressed. Older children can become more angry, withdrawn and needy. She gives suggestions about how to explain the news about the news to children and how to deal with the stress this information can cause. Katie shares some techniques to enable children to express their emotions, including art and journaling. For more information, please visit www.revitalizecounselingservices.com
