This week’s show is my gift to you for the holidays. Yes, you’ll learn about shooting great pictures, but mostly, I just want you to enjoy looking at wonderful photos of some very special animals who are cared for at Farm Sanctuary, a nonprofit that rescues and cares for animals at two sanctuaries in California and one in New York.
My guest this week is JoAnne McArthur, an award-winning, freelance photojournalist from Toronto who has taken many photos of the animals at Farm Sanctuary and we’re going to view them on her website, We Animals. I hope you take time out to get acquainted with the stars of these photographs – roosters, pigs, cows, rabbits and more. You’ll see how great photos tell a story and be inspired to bring your own photographic storytelling to the next level.
Farm Sanctuary’s mission is to protect farm animals from cruelty, inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and promote compassionate vegan living.
A companion show to this is Powerful photographic storytelling I in which I speak with the program director of Photophilanthropy.org about a stunning series of photos of children at an orphanage in Transylvania.
Please find a computer and soak in the compassion so evident in these Farm Sanctuary photos. Enjoy.
