I’m repeating a terrific show this week for all of you who have just begun a nonprofit or are considering starting one. I recently met with a young man who has embarked on this great adventure and I was reminded of why I do this show: So new leaders and board members can make a big difference in the world faster and more effectively.
My guest on this show is the executive director of an association that started with 70 nonprofit members in 2004 and has expanded to more than 600 today. He knows from first-hand experience what it takes to build a nonprofit and, in fact, advised them on how to succeed. Patrick McWhorter is the president and and CEO of the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits. He manages external relationships, represents the Alliance in the community, and works to sustain the organization.
As you listen to our conversation, you’ll hear how grounded, practical and business-like great nonprofits have to be in order to succeed.
Have a healthy, peaceful Christmas! Thanks so much for listening.
