Faduma a young girl boarded a plane in Kenya heading to Atlanta with just the clothes on her back and a few head scarves. A child bride at 14 years of age, by the time she was 17 years old she had sustained severe burns over two-thirds of her body, after her husband in a jealous rage set her on fire. Today, this young Somalia woman’s story is in the early stages of becoming a documentary to highlight the violence that still scars girls and child brides all over the world.
