The term brainwashing can be used to describe the process by which we give up control of our minds and thoughts and adopt, without questioning, the ideas impressed upon us by parents, teachers, the media, religious leaders, celebrities and a variety of other sources. These ideas turn negative when they limit our potential, imposing permanent economic or social handicaps that are no more real than the thought that holds them. On this show, Philip Mereton talks with Michaelson Williams, the author of Trainwashing: The Secrets of Positive Brainwashing, about how this problem develops and what we can do to train our minds to reverse the process, practice positive brainwashing, and take back control of our mind and our future.
