I’m so glad you’re joining us today as we begin to look at Conscious Discipline. We’ve talked about conscious parenting before but today we’re going to delve a bit deeper into something referred to as “Conscious Discipline”.
When I work with parents and we begin to talk about conscious or mindful parenting, they often ask if that means that they won’t be able to discipline their child or control their child’s behavior? Parents are often fear that they’re child will then have all of the power. I reassure them that conscious parenting includes discipline…but conscious discipline. Conscious discipline is more than getting your child to do their chores or homework. Its bigger than just getting your child to listen to you. It’s about creating positive changes both within yourself, and your child…changes that can lead to a healthy and loving relationship with your child.
So, I decided that conscious discipline would be a great topic for the show, and I found the perfect guest to join my conversation!
