“Choose your life’s mate carefully. From this one decision will come 90% of your happiness or misery”
Think about this quote – with the divorce rate in the U.S. over 50% – this is something that is obviously NOT happening.
When it comes to getting hitched, more Americans than ever before are saying, “I don’t.” Singles now make up nearly 50% of the adult population in this country, and new research suggests they are happier, more social, and more active in the community than many of their wedded counterparts.
And while there is outrage and judgment cast about these statistics… rarely do people look at the root cause.
If you want to change the fruit, you have to change the root. The root, in this case, is the “who, what, where, when & why” that happens BEFORE you meet Mr. or Ms. Right.
This week’s show explores the Roots of a Great Relationship.
These roots start growing before a person even meets their soul mate and can be fostered in some very specific ways during the dating phase of romance.
AND the roots of a great relationship can begin to grow at any time in a relationship and this applies to ALL relationships.
In the first half of the show I interview Lauralee and Scott Lees, who have created a dating program on an ancient spiritual text. Their program is called the Suitable Helpmate Prayer.
If you think you don’t have a prayer when it comes to romantic relationships, I challenge you to tune in to find out if this is the answer to your prayers.
In the second half of the show, Scott Bogart, the author of “Enlightened Dating for Men” joins me. His book is a must-read book for ANY man who is currently dating with the intention of having a Great Romantic Relationship.
One of the things I hear most often in my work as a relationship coach is this: “Why don’t we learn relationship skills in school?”
Luckily there are people who are passionate about this subject and they offer ways of educating oneself. I am fortunate to have a few of those people on the show today.
