On this segment of Radio Pet Vet Dr. Randy along with co-host Paul, dog trainer of 40 years, answer questions and concerns relating to pet health, nutrition, and behavior. Dr. Randy reminds us of the importance of ensuring that new pets are healthy before introducing them to the “rest of the family,” answering questions from our listeners regarding FIV and Infectious Canine Tracheobronchitis (more commonly known as “Kennel Cough”). Paul tells an amusing story of a dog that takes cues from Michigan J. Frog. Despite the owner’s description of naughty behavior and their attempts to recreate challenging situations for this Standard Poodle – it behaves perfectly when in the presence of Paul. Additional topics discussed on this week’s Radio Pet Vet include: options for a dog with laryngeal paralysis, traveling with your pet, solutions for a smelly dog, possible esophagus/intestinal ulcers, and drinking from the pool.
