Passion, Publicity, Profit. The three elements Christina Daves brings to our show. Learn how you too can use your passion to develop and drive your publicity to stand out and be noticed.

About: Christina Daves is a serial entrepreneur who has founded and run four successful companies over the past 20 years. She has a knack for discovering niche markets from service industries to consumer goods. Through her latest venture, CastMedic Designs, she designs and manufactures MediFashions, which are award-winning accessories to make medical boots fashionable.

With no resources remaining when the product launched, Christina had to teach herself everything she could about generating publicity. In less than one year she appeared in over 50 media outlets including national and local television, publications, newspapers, radio, and blogs. As a result of her PR success, she created PR for Anyone™ to help other small business owners learn how to do what she did to have similar success.

Her website www.PRforAnyone.com offers tips and resources for gaining free media exposure. On her website, Christina offers free membership to Expert’s Corner, an interview series with members of the media and PR professionals sharing their tips for small business owners to have success when pitching them.

Christina is also the author of the bestselling book, PR for Anyone™ 100+ Affordable Ways to Easily Create Buzz for Your Business, which shares her personal PR experiences as well as easy to follow tips to help small businesses gain their own publicity.

Memorable Failure:  Hiring a retail consultant for $27,000 and signing a contract with teeny tiny print that said no guarantees. After about 4 months I knew he was worthless but I couldn’t get out of the contract. I was sick to my stomach. I learned never to sign a contract I can’t get out of and how to make things performance based.

Ah-Ha Moment:  Which ah-ha? I’ve had several.

Digital Trends:  In today’s age of the Internet, there is little reason to use traditional methods of gaining exposure like the press release. With Twitter and LinkedIn you have the ability to reach journalists directly and build relationships with them.

Favorite success quote:  Million Dollar Ideas Are a Dime a Dozen. The determination to see the idea through is what’s priceless. ~Robert Dieffenbach

Favorite business book:  Start with Why ~Simon Sinek

Your most influential person: Steve Jobs
