Host: Sheryl Glick R.M.T.
Special Guest: Mark Antonacci
I am your host Sheryl Glick author of The Living Spirit a tale of spiritual awakenings, spiritual communication and energy miracles and a guide to your intuitive soul nature and today am delighted to welcome Mark Antonacci author of Test the Shroud which supports the theory that 21st century atomic and molecular level testing proves the Shroud of Turin is the burial cloth of Jesus also proving for some who have even questioned the very existence of Jesus.
Listeners of Healing From Within are well aware that Sheryl and her guests search the metaphysical realm to understand more completely Who we are? Where we come from? and What is the purpose for a physical life? For those who explore these questions we often find the intuitive connection to Universal Energy and to all soul life here and beyond, and begin to know that we are indeed spiritual beings having a physical life mainly for the purpose of remembering our energetic soul life and to re-experience situations that can help us embrace greater love and compassion.
Attorney Mark Antonacci who is a leading expert on the Shroud and founder/president of the Test The Shroud foundation, has the backing of several well known scientists around the world and wishes to petition the Vatican for new tests to be conducted. If this burial shroud, The Shroud of Turin was tested at the atomic and molecular levels several key events in history could be known and would refute the controversial C-14 dating performed on the cloth in 1988. These advanced scientific techniques could demonstrate whether such a miraculous event- the resurrection of Christ occurred and also when it happened: where it happened: what the actual age of this cloth is and more about its bloodstains: and the identity of the victim.
Many others now and in the past have been interested in Jesus’ shroud. Because of its antiquity it almost seems like a miracle that it is still intact. Mark wrote “We stand at a unique moment in history. Because of the advancement of modern scientific technology, people throughout the world can finally answer some of the most fundamental questions of life that have perplexed generations of human history. Among the questions that could be answered are the existence, nature and identity of God, and whether the passion, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ occurred exactly as these events are described in the Gospels. These and other foundational questions have never been satisfactorily or universally answered before because objective and independent evidence relating to these questions has never been known to exist. For the first time ever, we can now answer these questions with extensive and tangible evidence that has only been discovered relatively recently even though this evidence has actually existed for centuries. However, much more objective and irrefutable evidence could be acquired from this same source.”
Antonacci views this as a religious, scientific and legal issue and proof of the authenticity of the existence of Jesus and clarification of the historical events at that time in the Middle East. Test The Shroud is Antonacci’s second book on the topic, as in 2000 he released his first project, The Resurrection of the Shroud. It was during the research of the earlier publication that Antonacci, who was an Agnostic at the time, embraced Christianity as the unprecedented evidence on the Shroud independently confirmed the occurrence of the most critical series of events in human history.

It is believed the Shroud of Turin was first discovered in the 14th century although There are no definite historical records concerning the particular shroud currently at Turin Cathedral prior to the 14th century. A burial cloth, which some historians maintain was the Shroud, was owned by the Byzantine emperors but disappeared during the Sack of Constantinople in 1204. Although there are numerous reports of Jesus’ burial shroud, or an image of his head, of unknown origin, being venerated in various locations before the 14th century, there is no historical evidence that these refer to the shroud currently at Turin Cathedral.
Scientific research surprisingly indicates that radiation, in a photographic-like process, most likely created the Shroud’s images. When 19th and 20th century technologies were applied to this burial cloth, they dramatically improved the quality of its images and increased the number of their visible features to well over a hundred. Like an X-Ray, some bones in the hands and spine are even visible. Forensic research now indicates the Shroud is from Jerusalem in the 1st century and is of a dead man who incurred the same series of wounds and was crucified in exactly the same manner as Jesus. If sophisticated 21st century technology was applied to the Shroud at the atomic and molecular levels (along with new DNA testing techniques), they could tell us whether this radiation was particle radiation and whether its source was the dead body wrapped within this cloth. These techniques could not only tell us the age of the cloth, but when and where this miraculous event occurred and whether he was the historical Jesus.
Earlier examintion of the Shroud In 1969, Cardinal Pellegrino, retired Archbishop of Turin and custodian of the Shroud at the time, permitted a committee of eleven persons to examine the Shroud and make recommendations for further study and preservation. They reported that the Shroud was in an excellent state of preservation and further suggested it should be kept between two panes of glass for better protection.
A more comprehensive examination of the Shroud was made in 1973 by a team of scientists… One of the remarkable findings of the committee was that the image did not penetrate the cloth, but was confined to the topmost layers of the cloth. (Ruffin, 1999).
First and foremost is the Shroud of Turin. Secured in a vault in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Turin, Italy, the Shroud is believed by millions to be the burial cloth of Jesus.
The Shroud of Turin or Turin Shroud (Italian: Sindone di Torino, Sacra Sindon or Santa Sindone) is a length of linen cloth bearing the image of a man who is alleged to be Jesus of Nazareth. The cloth itself is believed by some to be the burial shroud he was wrapped in when he was buried after crucifixion although three radiocarbon dating tests in 1988 dated a sample of the cloth to the Middle Ages.
Sheryl says that several years ago she interviewed Dr Vernon Sylvest author of The End of Fear who has recently passed and was so impressed with this story of the Shroud of Turin that she traveled on 2 planes to Virginia for a Spiritual Retreat at Healing Waters Lodge which had been owned by Dr. Margaret Kubler Ross who studied Near Death experiences, the Afterlife and was the founder of Hospice as we know it today. Sheryl’s own work as an intuitive energy practitioner has lead her to realize that life in energetic or spiritual form exists beyond this physical world. At that workshop Dr Sylvest told of seeing the Shroud of Turin and showed slides of it. Sheryl was curious to know more about the implications of this remnant of history and the story of Jesus. As a medium Sheryl has received inner vision impressions from Jesus and Mother Mary as she believes they work with those who are on a path seeking knowledge of healing and compassionate love as they are guides for those who work for change, peace and healing in our modern day world. Sheryl felt Jesus pain and sadness for the continuing dysfunction of our modern day human endeavors where so many people still do not understand the true nature of man as a soul having a physical life interconnected to Source and all that is.
We might discern blood type height and or skin color from further examination of the shroud. Jesus’s blood group is believed to be AB+ This blood group is known as the “universal recipient” group which can receive blood transfusion from the other blood groups, namely blood groups A, B, and O but can donate blood only to people with blood type AB. Using the 53 cm. special cubit, Jesus’ height would have been about 156 cm (5ft 1in.). Harwood also makes the point that if Jesus were really 6 feet high, his height would have been so remarkable that he would certainly have been described as a very tall person by the writers of the Christian Scriptures. It does not matter what color skin Jesus had, It was the man inside that mattered. In Harwood’s opinion, he thinks Jesus was black. From the perspective that he was brought to Africa when he was a baby and he did not appear to be odd. Also from the angle that he was a Jew and some Jews are black
Mark believes that millions and even billions of items could be acquired if the Shroud of Turin was tested. In his book, TEST THE SHROUD, he lays out a series of sophisticated testing that could be performed on the Shroud linen and blood marks and on limestone from Jesus’ reputed burial tombs. This testing would provide countless more items of information yet to be acquired from this cloth. This testing could provide millions of items of unfakable evidence that would prove that:
* the entire Shroud was irradiated with particle radiation
* the amount of particle radiation each part of it received
* the Shroud’s radiocarbon dating is erroneous
* the Shroud is from the 1st century
* the radiating event happened in the 1st century
* the source of the radiation was the length, width and depth of the dead body wrapped within it
* all of the events that occurred to the man happened in the 1st century
* the events occurred in Jerusalem
* under all of the surrounding circumstances as described in the Gospels
* this man was the historical Jesus Christ
It might be that The Vatican, tiptoeing carefully, has never claimed that the 14-foot linen cloth was, as some believers claim, used to cover Christ after he was taken from the cross 2,000 years ago. The shroud, which is purported to be the burial cloth of Jesus – showing his face and body after the crucifixion – has intrigued scholars and Christians alike. But radiocarbon dating carried out by Oxford University in 1988 found it was only 728 years old. This would be in conflict to the Church and their story of when and where Jesus may have lived.
It is also curious As regards the mysterious image of the Shroud, it is a common proposition that no ancient artistic technique could have been able to imprint the 3-dimensionally encoded human figure on the Turin Shroud with anatomical and circumstantial exactitude. Recent discoveries in quantum science come in as a potent aid in elucidating remarkable facts on the subject…
Atomic and molecular testing work would be more accurate than other tests performed on the Shroud in the past What if Jesus Christ’s dead crucified body miraculously gave off particle radiation from its length, width and depth as it disappeared? What if this event occurred as he laid in his burial shroud inside of his tomb? What if this happened after he was beaten, crowned with thorns, crucified and killed? Attorney Mark Antonacci, one of the world’s leading experts on the Shroud of Turin, contends in his recent book, Test the Shroud, that if this burial shroud was tested at the atomic and molecular levels, several key events in history could be proven. It could be shown by billions of items of unfakable evidence that particle radiation emanated from the length, width and depth of the tortured, crucified, dead body wrapped in the Shroud of Turin. This event would absolutely refute the controversial C-14 dating performed on this cloth in 1988. These advanced scientific techniques could not only demonstrate whether such a miraculous event occurred, but when it happened; where it happened; the actual age of this cloth and its bloodstains; and the identity of its victim.
Professor Gilbert Raes was permitted to cut small samples of thread from a corner of the Shroud (now referred to as ‘Raes’ corner’). He found the Shroud to be basically linen (flax fibers) with traces of cotton (Gossypium herbaceum variety). He assumed that the cotton traces might be leftovers from a loom or even from the gloves used by the researchers.
Dr. Max Frei, a Swiss Criminologist and botanist by training, took twelve samples of surface dust from the Shroud on sticky tape and by applying the ‘pollen analysis’, he was able to identify the pollen of 48 plants. Sixteen of them grow in France and Italy and another 21 are endemic to desert areas, including some which grow only in the saline areas as those near the Dead Sea. Frei estimated that 95 per cent of pollen comes from a peripheral area of few kilometres and he was able to prove that the Shroud cloth was undoubtedly exposed to air near Jerusalem and might have been displayed in Edessa and Constantinople. These studies have recently been confirmed by Avinoam Denim, the Director of the Botanical Institute in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. (Denim)
Sheryl thanks Attorney Mark Antonacci author of Test the Shroud for his intense study of The Shroud of Turin which can offer to us a great deal of physical
evidence about a time long ago in the history of human development and the way to understand there are still mysteries beyond science and historical remnants in the search for our true nature as both divine and physical beings. Imagination and curiosity can lead us to know more about Jesus in those ancient times and also of Universal energy.
In today’s episode of “Healing From Within” we have actually looked into one’s man’s search beyond the physical conditions presented by The Shroud of Turin to answer questions also about the soul or eternal nature of life. For with new technology it will be possible to know if Jesus Christ dead crucified body miraculously gave off particle radiation from its length width and depth as it disappeared. What if this event occurred as he laid in his burial shroud inside of the tomb…If this burial shroud was tested at the atomic and molecular level, key events in history could be conclusively proven. It might refute the controversial C-14 dating performed on this cloth in 1988. Advanced scientific techniques under development now by Mark Antonocci’s foundation could not only demonstrate whether a miraculous event took place, but when it happened, where it happened: the actual age of this cloth and its bloodstains, and the identity of its victim. In reality the search for knowing life and death in its entirety goes on in every generation. As new knowledge helps us move beyond fears and unsubstantiated innuendo to lift our souls and minds to the higher Universe Information we always seek the higher part of ourselves hoping for greater wisdom and truth. This search is part of the legacy of Jesus Christ, a soul devoted to helping others know more about the eternal nature of their life force and their interconnectedness to each other and Source.
Mark and I would have you remember that in examination of physical evidence we actually find our intuitive connection to people and places that existed before us and know that the search always continues now and into the future, moving past limitations and restrictions to finding peace and love. The gift of searching truly awakens you to the power of living Consciously.
