The negative side effects of nuclear power are well known these days, although most people just consider those to be potential meltdown and radiation contamination. As it turns out, there’s another one having to do with the hazardous by-products of uranium enrichment. Could anything be done about that? Diane Brandon is joined this week by Steve Laflin, President and CEO of International Isotopes. Mr. Laflin has a very innovative way of “recycling” this hazardous by-product and actually turning it into a very usable and in-demand item.
