We’ve all seen the economy “recede,” then sputter as it recovers in a maddeningly slow manner. Why is this recovery so problematic? Is there at base a need for some fundamental change we may not have considered? And could this have to do with green concerns at all? Diane Brandon is joined this week by Richard Heinberg, Senior Fellow at the Post Carbon Institute and author of The End of Growth. Mr. Heinberg has studied this issue and feels that he knows exactly what’s behind the struggles we’ve seen our economy (and those of other nations) going through. A fundamental change is in order, he feels. What he feels is behind the persistent economic issues may come as a big surprise.
