Interview with Darryl Omar Freeman, a Ph.D, candidate in Interdisciplinary Services at Washington State University. A feature of his dissertation is the participation of Native American people in the Underground Railroad, a topic that has received little scrutiny. Darryl discusses cases in which Native Americans aided fugitive slaves and explains why Native Americans were sympathetic to helping African Americans become free.
