Interview with Joseph McGill, a program officer for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. In the year 2010, Joe embarked on an ambitious and unique project of sleeping in slave quarters that were still in existence, for what is known as the “Slave Cabin Project.” Since then he has slept in more than 30 former slave habitations. He tells us how the project started, about some of the different slave quarters, how it has made him, why he believe it is important and his plans and goals for the future. Joe can be contacted at his website, http://pinterest.com/savingstories/slave-dwelling-project-with-joseph-mcgill-jr/ or on his Facebook Page
