In this continuing series on the Energy Body, Dr. Mercy discusses the Taoist system of energy or chi within the organs of the body. While Energy Body 1 focused on the Hindu/Buddhist system of the seven chakras, Energy Body 2 covers the related Chinese system of the five organs. The Tao is the Way between the Zin and the Zang, the course of flowing energy and least resistance. Within the Taoist tradition, which has only recently come out of China, are the arts of acupunture, tai chi, feng shui, and Chinese astrology – to name a few.
In the Five Organ system, the organs contain different energies which can be transformed by meditation and healing sounds. The negative chi is the vice associated with the organ and the positive chi is the virtue. Using the Healing Smile and the Microcosmic Orbit the practitioner moves energy (chi) through the organs to energize and heal them, thus rebalancing the entire body. Each of the five organs is associated with a vice, a virtue, a color, a season, a taste, an element, sound, another organ, and a sensory opening. The five organs are the lungs, kidneys, liver, heart and spleen. The program covers the associated characteristics and the two principal methods of transforming energy from vice to virtue. Learn these practices from Dr. Mercy who learned them from the Senior Masters of Mantak Chia.
