I was reading an article yesterday entitled “Homeownership Rate Declines to Lowest Level since 1995” and I can’t help but question how the continued wave of foreclosures, media hype and negativity about the housing market, and restrictive lending policies are playing a part in the decision making process for today’s home buyer. Remember the old saying, “Once burned, twice shy?” and…well, do you blame them? You may be there yourself! Today, consumers contemplating the dream of homeownership feel overwhelmed, numb, or at the very least wary of today’s daunting housing market! Mainly, because consumers have been led to believe that the banks control the process. Now more than ever, it’s imperative that consumers are in the driver’s seat and education is the key!
Join me as my guest, Garry Throckmorton, National Administrator – eHome Network and I discuss the wonderful programs available to consumers today that can offer that much needed peace of mind! Programs that include such topics as: Shopping for a home and mortgage, Credit, Personal Finance, Saving habits, and Foreclosure Avoidance and Tips.
It’s a fact…that home buyers are overpaying by millions each year because they don’t have the necessary financial skills needed to properly shop for, compare and choose the right home or mortgage for their individual needs. But, home buyers can easily remove the pain in the home buying/mortgage process by being informed, prepared, and ready to go toe-to-toe with any lender.
It’s time to turn the tables….and take back your control!
