Many jobseekers over 40 years of age are frightened about their prospects of finding work. They hear on the news the following constant refrain: those who are over 40 are out of work for a longer period of time than those who are younger. But this same statistic means those who are over 40 are being hired and, therefore, these jobseekers need to focus on the elements of successful job search if they want to shorten the amount of time they spend between jobs. This show will feature tips from Steven Steinfeld who gives a seminar entitled, “Over 40 and Hired.” It will cover interviewing, resumes, informational interviewing, networking, the importance of staying sharp and current during this job search period and more.
