Dr. Mercy interviews a very special woman who was denied her childhood and now has reclaimed it through writing children’s books on embracing diversity. Linda Beall grew up as the oldest child in a family of hundreds of younger brothers and sisters. Or at least it seemed so. The youngest were twins and Linda took over the care of one twin completely. Eight years ago she retired from a social work career and relocated to St. Augustine, Florida where she lives with her husband. Linda talks with Dr. Mercy about wanting to finally claim her childhood and so she decided to write children’s books. Her first book Four Paws and One Old Cat brought her awards and recognition. Her books are designed for age groups preschool to second grade. Listen to Linda discuss life with no childhood and how she regained her creativity. Her web site is fourpawsonecat.com and email is [email protected]. You will find Linda wise and fun-loving.
