Addicted to Addicts: Survival 101 – Almost Six Months for Colorado and Legal Pot
This week’s show is a repeat of a show from 2013 about marijuana and our thoughts on legalization and decriminalization. Denise spoke with a doctor who explains the pros and cons and tries to answer some of our questions on this topic. Now, with almost six months of legalization in Colorado, it’s a good time to think about how we are feeling about it. Here was the episode’s description:
Dr. David Nathan, a psychiatrist in Princeton, NJ and a clinical assistant professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is our expert guest today. This week’s topic is legalization and decriminalization of marijuana from the perspective of a professional in the field of Addiction. Dr. Nathan had written an article in 2010 for the Wall Street Journal discussing this topic. I was curious about his perspective now, with the various states legalizing medical marijuana and some states recreational marijuana. He recently wrote another article for CNN where this is discussed and in this interview we talk about the topic and controversy as it stands today.
